Fusion is a North American built
laptop alternative that's loaded with the latest
technologies, including text to speech, word prediction, wireless
data transfer, and a large graphics-capable screen. Fusion's
unprecedented focus on curriculum based learning outcomes is
influenced by an ongoing process of consultation with
teachers, special needs workers and other dedicated
educators. Fusion is manufactured by Advanced Keyboard
Technologies, of Paso Robles, California. Besides being
designed by educators, Fusion is a perfect fit for the Universal Design for Learning
(UDL)
framework. It's also priced so reasonably that more
students can benefit from a laptop alternative than ever
before. Perhaps one of the greatest needs of today's youth
is the need to stay focused on their writing--not Facebooking, My
Spacing, YouTubing, and Online Gaming. This is why they need
something like Fusion. It avoids the distractions of a
laptop, provides tools and assistance that students appreciate,
and allows teachers to better teach to diversity.

in your UDL framework, please check out these links:

Why
UDL? As a former English, Special Education and ESL teacher,
I believe that Canada is capable of becoming "the
best-educated, most literate jurisdiction on the continent."
As educators who are teaching to diversity know, that goal
is most likely to be met if more teachers and schools utilize the
Universal Design for Learning framework and familiarize
themselves with UDL and other resources that will help their
students.
Why this Site?
This
site makes it easier for educators to learn about and assess
potential resources that fit or complement the UDL
framework. Using video demos & tutorials, plus reviews,
and feedback from other knowledgeable users, this site
provides practical information that people need to know when
considering these resources. The growing
collection of informative provided here is often not found
anywhere else, so by returning frequently - and by
submitting "resource information requests" for
additional details--you can help keep this site growing and
disseminating useful UDL resource information for teachers,
parents, and students everywhere!
